About Us

The University of Cyprus in collaboration with the Research Promotion Foundation and the Planning Bureau, in their effort to enhance the research activities in Cyprus, have created the Cyprus Research and Academic Network (CyNet) whose aim is the creation of a network infrastructure and the provision of advanced Internet services to the research and academic community of Cyprus. The network infrastructure connects CyNet to the European research and academic network GEANT at 1+1Gbps, and internally at very high connection speeds.
